A number of Devon’s work hubs will be marking International Coworking Day on Wednesday 9 August by inviting people to give coworking a try.
The day is an opportunity for people to experience coworking for themselves and see that they are far more than simply a desk space. The many advantages provided by Work Hubs include flexible working, organic networking and collaborative opportunities with like-minded people.
Among the coworking spaces within the Devon Work Hub network offering free trial coworking days for non-members on 9 August are:
Coworking Devon in Buckfastleigh offers free trial days all year round, Monday to Friday, and on 9 August it will be offering a free day for members as well as non-members. Desk space at all of the venues is limited so places are available on a first-come-first served basis and need to be reserved in advance.

Shared workspaces can be an inspiring, budget-friendly, and adaptable solution for individuals and businesses. The Hub at The Bookery is used by both locals and visitors to the area who are looking for a productive, distraction-free, friendly place to work with unique opportunities for collaboration and networking.”
Stacey Sheppard, founder of Devon’s first female coworking space, The Tribe, in Totnes, said: “International Coworking Day is such a great opportunity to celebrate all the great facilities and opportunities that coworking and the Devon Work Hubs network provides to businesses and entrepreneurs locally. The world of work has changed dramatically in the past few years and the way that we are working is now far more flexible and hybrid so these third spaces are really coming into their own as we search out ways to find a happy balance between the freedom of working remotely and that basic human need for connection and community. Many friendships are forged in coworking spaces.
